Inge lives in Pemberton and she does not pay taxes in Whistler. Why didn't she run for council in Pemberton? If elected Inge could increase our property taxes without any concequences to herself. |

Just because Inge lives in Pemberton doesn't mean she should be disqualified. As more and more of our worker bees live in adjoining communities we need to consider that point of view. Perhaps if elected she would work to reduce our taxes etc so she could afford to reside here. Fictional consequence can have any outcome we deem it to. |

As a long term tax payer, I just could not vote for anyone that resides outside of Whistler. Most likely Inge lives in Pemberton because she wants to, not because she can't afford Whistler. |

I pay taxes in Whistler as I own a house in Whistler, which is gutted and being rebuilt right now. I live in Pemberton because I was offered a wonderful rental opportunity and had no idea I would be running for council. After 27 years in Whistler, 3 mo. in Pemberton, where I do not pay taxes, does not make me a NON-Whistlerite.

Inge, good for you! It is amazing the grief and negativity being thrown around by people who don't have even the barest of facts. Good media and bad attitude - a nasty combination.
