In my opinion, Jamey has the "growing of age, background of living in Whistler" long enough, to be of great value in the near future decision making to keep this place ticking. Thanks for your concernes and considderation for the health and well being of the Whistler I call home.

"Jamey Kramer sounds like a nut". That's what I USED to think before I started reading and listening to what he has to say. I am voting for Kramer for sure. He is so concerned about Whistler and it's inhabitants ( especially those who want to make Whistler their home but don't see how, in financial terms) and not greedy developers who are so concerned about making their HUGE (compared to the rest of Canadian development ) profit margins on employee housing that they , unbelievably , decide to build a communal outdoor parking area for residents instead of individual garages ( that we actually want) at the new Rainbow site. You have my vote Jamey. When you get elected, and I'm sure you will, please also think of families who want to stay here and actually raise a family and have a garage to store their kayaks, bikes, skidoos, boats and whatever other toys they use in their pursuit of the pleasure that drew them to Whistler in the first place. This is not just a town for lucky tweny year home owners who feel they can dictate to the rest of us as to how we should live. The future of Whistler lies in the hands of current entry workers and middle managers. The RMOW has to address THEIR needs and their desires to live as they should. With a home, a yard for their childen to run in and a place to store all their STUFF.

Those twenty or more year residents that you say dictate the way you should live have paid a lot more dues than you ever will DUDE.
A lot of them were forced to squat and live with out running water , electricity, plumbing, and central heat. DUDE.
They got their asses in gear and pooled there two dolllar an hour pay checks together to buy a couple of properties on SPECK and go throught the rezoning process year by year so they could afford to live in the place they love.
Lot R in Alpine and Tapley's Farm were the beginings of an affordable housing process that hundreds of familys are now having the benefit of.. they stuck it out buddy ... didn't run away or complain ... That's why Whistler is a sucess. Put you time in, Pay your dues and Grow up.

Spare me Mr. Watt -DUDE. If I were as OLD as you , perhaps I would have had the opportunity. I plan on living here no matter what ,which means that when I am a senior-DUDE , I will have paid far more than you in terms of dues. Just because someone is OLDER and has lived here longer does not mean they can be dictators. Whistler is a success because of all the workers who stick it out here NOW and live fifteen to a room and pay four dollars for a loaf of bread and work three and four jobs just to survive. You "old timers" may have started something by chance a long time ago, but is certainly us that keeps it going, and you should never forget it! By the way -DUDE, check your spelling.

The opportunity is here Now ... Complainers get what they deserve. Nobody is DICTATING how you are suppose to live. Nothing happins by chance and it wasn't that long ago so get with the program or get left behind. Whoever you are please take it to heart... you get back what you put in. We all hear you.. so PLEASE get all your friends out to vote.
Peace Brother

Jamey Kramer has beliefs and opinions just as Mr. Watt has. I respect (and agree) with Kramer's opinion but....I respect your opinion Mr. Watt. And for the record...... we're not 20 somethings, actually we're far from it. Please, let's just keep respect in this election. Sorry, some things do happen by chance and luck. I'm proud of this community and please, let's keep the negative out of this election.

Just one more blog and I promise to be quiet. My strong commments were in defence of the generation that acually did build the Whistler we know today. I'm sorry but I get defensive when anonymous writers say that we were lucky, things happined by chance and that we are dictating how others have to live. Really??? Come on!! Stand back and think ..did our wonderful village just happin by chance? did the lifts just appear one day?
did anyone have to sacrifice anything to make this happin?
Developers in Whistler want to hear all your ideas and concerns but if you haven't built in Whistler before you really don't know how difficult it is, so be careful what you say. If you want respect please show it and not blame others for your problems. The only thing I would dictate you to do is VOTE.
Good Luck Jamie .. get the word out..All the Best.. Bruce W
That's It

Jamey, after speaking personally to you yesterday, I must tell you that I was pleasantly impressed. I met an honest, intelligent and deeply concerned young man-for not only Whistler's "thirty and unders"- but for all of Whistler. You have some great ideas Jamey, good luck to you. You have my vote for sure.

Where's Mr. Watt -DUDE? Watt does he think?

anonymous - November 15th, 2005
I agree with Jamey's passionate stance on the Boot. We're already living in a pre-fab Disneyland, but it would be nice if we could preserve one or two heritage sites as does every other municipality in North America.

VoTe Jamey!!!!!

anonymous - November 17th, 2005
Jamey, I want a reason to vote for you, but all I see is a humourous guy that is all style and no substance. Take away your whole "Jamey Kramer loves Whistler" shtick, and tell me why I should vote for you.
Either way good

anonymous - November 17th, 2005
I would also like to know why we should vote for you. What do you bring to the table when it comes to making decisions, dealing with professionals and swimming with sharks (so to speak)?? I respect and understand your love for whistler. I also understand your struggle! I moved here when I was 17 & penniless, and have not looked back. I have worked my butt off to accomplish everything that I have. My most recent accomplishment has been to purchase a home on the free market! I am 26 years old and my question for you is, how do you represent me and all that I have worked for in this town?

anonymous - November 18th, 2005
Thanks Jamey. Paragraph 3 I can understand and support. I can not support your analogy of "losers" living in this town. If people have no say, it is mainly because they choose to.
My partner would fall under your category of "working class" and "losers" but by no means does that mean he does not have a say.
This town is full of the "haves" & "have nots", I will agree. I simply have difficulty with you basing your platform on being a "have not"! Get out there and have!
I was a loser at the bottom and perhaps I still am, but I refused to let that be my mantra. The under 30 in this town need representation, but we need that representation to be solid & proactive. I am still not convinced that you have what it takes.
I wish you all the best and thank you for the fact that you love whistler.

anonymous - November 18th, 2005
Jamey, thanks for explaining your platform without your shtick, I don't know if you'll get my vote, but I appreciate you answering my question.
Either way, good luck

We never new Jamey Kramer before this election but like many his signs intrigued us. I contacted Jamey Kramer and received a great response. Even though Jamey and us disagree on some matters we agree on the fact that the younger generation needs someone on council. After doing some research I have found out that the average age in Whistler is 30.2. What is the age of our council? Jamey you have our votes. Whistler loves Jamey!

Hello Jamey,
Congrats on your efforts to engage the youth.
You seemed to have a big election budget. Did you self finance?
