So... two blogs now. I'm trying this one out to to see how it goes - so far, everything's ok, it's easy to customize and has no ads.

Why am I starting a new journal - and keeping the other one? The truth is I like to write as a way to exercise my brain and also because it's a perfectly good way to vent every now and then, but for that to work out alright, I have to be able to talk about whatever I want anytime I want, and that can't happen when there's a childish and competitive monkey on your back all the time, annoying the shit out of you every time you mention anything you consume in terms of entertainment.

I know it's ridiculous and I should probably deal with it by ignoring it, but I just can't do that. My ideal way of dealing with that would be just telling the person to stop pissing me off, but, ironically, if I did that, I'd be the one to be called childish and petty.

I wish I could understand why some people have this uncontrollable need to compete over things that can't really be owned by anyone other than the people who created them. The whole "I knew it first and I love it more" is just fucking pathetic, but I get upset easily, so I'd rather not deal with that all the time on a space that is actually mine.

Anyway, I'll be keeping the other blog and possibly conducting a little "experiment" there sometimes, so this one here will be a little bit more private, I mean, as private as you can get on the internet...
