<title>Back from the (almost) dead.</title>

<description>How cool is this? I skipped class today and now I'm blogging instead of using my time for something more productive, like reading the tons of texts I haven't read yet.

Yeah... it's been a while. Things are crazy around here, and have been that way since the classes began. I'm not really sure that's gonna work out the way I planned - I found out it's a lot harder than I thought (that's what she said) to sleep less than 6 hours a night and get up the next day to go to class and then to work later on.

Anyway... I wish I had more to comment on, but nothing interesting seems to happen lately, apart from some of my favorite tv shows returning and the fact that it looks like JM will be releasing a new DVD (about time!) - and don't even get me started on the whole JM becoming tabloid fodder, cause he totally had it coming.

I guess I need to find a hobby. The problem is I can never really seem to find something that doesn't make me lose interest after a couple of days. Did I mention I've been knitting a scarf since last year?

Oh, and I bought a new iPod. It's pink and totally awesome. This year, I've already bought a watch, a couple of books, a game, a bottle to put water in, a couple of cds, a backpack, some folders and paper... probably some other stuff I can't remember... and now the iPod. I guess that could be my hobby - buying crap when I should be having my car alarm fixed.

	<title>The art of killing time.</title>
	<link>http://www.aeonity.com/wideawake/blog/55723</link>
<description>I wanted to take this final week before work/classes begin to do all the things I know I won't have much time to do later on. So what did I decide to do? Take the most complicated thing that needed to be done.

As a result, I spent the last couple of days remodeling my Howie Day website and I think it's much better than the previous version, although during the whole time this kept going on in my head:

Q: What the fuck was I thinking when I thought this was a good idea?

A: You thought that was a good idea because you love this guy so much you think he deserves a well-done fan site for some promotion, even though most people who will see it are only interested in showing their friends how cool they are for being 'huge fans' of an 'undiscovered' artist whose records they'll never really buy, cause it's easier to just steal them and then complain that nobody knows who he is here.

I know, it's a very long answer to give yourself, but I'll save the rest of the rant for later (yeah, cause there's lots more). It's all done and I'm proud of myself cause I think it looks pretty nice, especially if you consider that I'm self-taught.

Here's the amusing part: I used this software to encrypt all the source code and protect the content from being copied - you never know when some smartass will decide to have his/her website too and steal the material you've spent weeks and weeks translating and formatting.

Guess what happened? Problem solved now after a magic trick, but initially I had overwritten all the original files when doing that and it worked so well then not even I couldn't edit the code anymore. LOL

-------------------

Just realized something: I'm such a nerd, look at what I'm writing about. My idea of funny is a situation that involves encrypting files. No excuses for that one.</description>

	<title>Sorta disgusting and silly.</title>

<description>Not sure about this layout. There's nothing particularly wrong with it, but sometimes I look at it and can't decide whether it makes me feel like having a Twix bar and a cappuccino or checking my shoes to see if I've stepped on dog shit and stuff.

On a side note, there's like this huge lists of moods to choose from, and one of them is &quot;constipated&quot;. Dude, who's gonna use that one?

	<title>First one.</title>
	<link>http://www.aeonity.com/wideawake/blog/55495</link>
<description>So... two blogs now. I'm trying this one out to to see how it goes - so far, everything's ok, it's easy to customize and has no ads.

Why am I starting a new journal - and keeping the other one? The truth is I like to write as a way to exercise my brain and also because it's a perfectly good way to vent every now and then, but for that to work out alright, I have to be able to talk about whatever I want anytime I want, and that can't happen when there's a childish and competitive monkey on your back all the time, annoying the shit out of you every time you mention anything you consume in terms of entertainment.

I know it's ridiculous and I should probably deal with it by ignoring it, but I just can't do that. My ideal way of dealing with that would be just telling the person to stop pissing me off, but, ironically, if I did that, I'd be the one to be called childish and petty.

I wish I could understand why some people have this uncontrollable need to compete over things that can't really be owned by anyone other than the people who created them. The whole &quot;I knew it first and I love it more&quot; is just fucking pathetic, but I get upset easily, so I'd rather not deal with that all the time on a space that is actually mine.

Anyway, I'll be keeping the other blog and possibly conducting a little &quot;experiment&quot; there sometimes, so this one here will be a little bit more private, I mean, as private as you can get on the internet...
