Chapter 4: Discovery
Is discovery a good or bad thing in the eyes of the world? Or is it just my luck?
I suddenly awoke in a different home. I looked around and I saw the home was decorated with wind chimes and other musical, sound making objects. Without even thinking, I knew, this had to be Wave Star's house.
I tried to get up and arise to my feet but my body had drugged to keep my bones intact. My hand was also bandaged in a red cloth. I then realized the redness that basically drenched the cloth was my blood.
I looked at an analog clock on the wall and I noticed it read twelve thirty in the afternoon. I had been knocked out for thirty minutes? There was no possible way. I turned around quick and I saw the calendar had been marked off...The date today read, “January 20th”! I had been in some kind of a coma for over four weeks!
“Damn it..Are you serious?” I asked as Wave Star finally entered the room. “Great, more bad news...”
“Shut the hell up,” Wave Star ordered as he walked over to me and gave me a dark colored drink. “Here drink this, Dragon Star.”
I took the drink as I said, “Stop calling me that...My name is Oreidan Umegairu.” I drank the whole drink in one gulp. It tasted like crap.
“Oreidan, huh?” Wave Star asked. “Well, what you've just drank was a solution that should immediately heal you.”
I felt it heal me as I arose to my feet. I healed my hand as I took off the bandages. I threw them away as I noticed my Nodachi and my jacket. The Blitz Gem was locked up, tight in the hilt of the sword.
“Wow,” I said, amazed. “That was amazing...What is your real name?”
“What?” Wave Star asked me with fear in his voice.
“What is your real name? I think you at least owe me the liberty of learning your name.”
“Akko Umegairu,” He said as my ears heard the last name. “That's my name.”
“Did you say, Umegairu?” I asked as I walked over to him.
“Yes, Oreidan,” Akko said. “We are both Umegairu...So, that could only mean one thing...”
“We're brothers...” Akko and I said that at the same time.

Chapter 3: Dragon Star Meets Wave Star
Wave Star? Were we related or was it just a coincidence? I had to get some answers out of him.
“Annihilate me,” I asked, stunned. “Why would you even consider doing that?”
“Because,” Wave Star placed his two Bokken in the ground, where they stuck in place. “You've killed my master, Satanyuu.”
“How would you even know that? You just got here.”
“Wait a second,” Wave Star said. “Aren't you the fabled warrior, Dragon Star?”
“Yes,” I answered with grief. “But, I didn't kill Satanyuu...on purpose?”
“What do you mean?” Wave Star asked as the snow stopped. The wind merely whistled in the air.
“The Blitz Gem appeared and...killed him.” I answered.
“But, is that not your sword?” Wave Star asked.
“Yes, but-”
“But, nothing!” Wave Star interrupted me. “Satanyuu, was killed and you've done it, so that means you must die by my hands!”
“Who said it was going to be that easy?” I asked as I jumped onto the left over snow. I noticed the Blitz Gem was glowing unusually bright, once again. Once the light dispersed, my Nodachi had green lines that looked like veins over the handle, hilt, and blade. It also covered my left hand and wrist.
As it did, pain erupted from my arm and it didn't stop until a mark of a dragon appeared on my left palm. I had fallen on my right knee.
I steadily arose to my feet as Wave Star chuckled at me.
“W-what's so funny?” For some reason my body had an unusually tense feeling to it now.
“I was just thinking,” Wave Star said as he showed me the back of his hand. Suddenly, a glowing blue 'X' appeared on it. “We are the same.”
“Same?” I asked as my body suddenly became unusually warm. What the hell was going on with me? “What do you mean by that?”
“I mean,” Wave Star held out the same hand with the mark on it. “That we must be related.” A large sound blast hit him into another snow bank, knocking me out.

Chapter 2: Wave Star
The Blitz Gem locked inside the diamond shaped hole in the hilt of my sword. As I rose to my feet, the Nodachi that killed Satanyuu appeared in my hand. Apparently, now, it was bound to me.
This world was no undoubtedly bewildering. That's the only word that could have described my life at this point.
However, I felt a sense of triumph begun to overwhelm me. Did I really do the impossible? Did I, Oreidan Umegairu, actually end my masters life?
As I pondered on these questions a few moments more, I began to walk towards my master's sword, "Sendon Houragon Maboui". It seemed that my body was moving on its own. As I realized this, I had already walked over to Satanyuu's sword.
I sheathed my Nodachi as the Blitz Gem glowed a bright green light also engulfing my sheathe in which my Nodachi was within. I proceeded on picking up Sendon Houragon Maboui. As I did, Sendon Houragon Maboui burst as a shock of lightning made it dissipate into the air. The sword obviously did not want me to harness any other power besides itself. Or rather, I should say, the Blitz Gem didn't want me to harness any other kind of power.
"What the hell is up with this sword?" I asked myself as I suddenly sensed a high pitched noise from about twenty miles away. "Damn..." I said quietly as I realized one of my Dragon Star abilities were helping me to hear this noise.
But, it was an unusual noise and it seemed to be getting louder as I heard it. It started to come closer towards me.
There was no where to hide. There was no way to escape but I am Dragon Star. So, why would I run away?
Truth is, I hardly even knew what the hell, my alias "Dragon Star" meant. The only ability that I knew for sure was part of that Dragon Star mumbo-jumbo was the ability I had previously used. I also had to realize that the Blitz Gem had to be part of this. Good thing I knew how to use the power of this powerful Gem because, what was about to come, would hit like a ton of bricks.
The snow began to clear as a man appeared before me. He had silver hair and silver eyes. He was dark skinned and had two Bokken on his back. He wore black clothing, a silver belt, and black boots. It also seemed as if he had much muscle mass.
The sound had stopped as we started to circle each other. I felt the need to unsheathe my Nodachi at that time so, I did. As I did, the man appeared in front of me, kneeing me into a snow bank.
I got up several minutes later, as I jumped out of the snow bank and onto a tree.
He stared at me angrily as I held out my sword next to me. "Who the hell are you?" I asked, aggravated at the fact that he was glaring at me. What could I have done to anger him?
"My name," He said as he unsheathed both of his Bokken. "Is Wave Star...And I'm here to annihilate you."

Chapter 1: The Blitz Gem
Today, was of course, a day in which it started to snow. I grabbed my coat and walked outside to the sparring area. Satanyuu was there waiting for me. He had a Nodachi gripped in his hand. It was his most powerful sword, "Sendon Houragon Maboui".
The wind howled as he unsheathed it. I had my Nodachi by my side as I unsheathed it as well. I bared it at Satanyuu. He walked towards me, but he hesitated as he bared the elongated point of his Nodachi at me.
"What's the hold up?" I asked as my coat flapped in the wind.
"Sorry...I zoned out there for a few seconds." Satanyuu answered.
"At what?" I asked angrily.
"...Let's just go!" Satanyuu ordered as I proceeded on slashing at him. He spun upwards as he sword slashed wildly at me. I blocked with ease as I slashed at him. I just barely slashed a piece of his clothes. He was able to kick me backwards with extra momentum.
I crashed onto the ground and skid backwards. I got up and brushed myself off.
"Sensei," I said. "You're holding back."
"Oreidan...You know I'm growing old." Satanyuu stated.
"Still, you are so much better than this. Is something clouding your mind?" I wondered.
Satanyuu didn't answer me, so I took that as a chance to attack. As I charged at him, he pushed me sideways and kicked me against a wall that was close to my home.
Unfortunately, this is where my adventure was about to begin.
I smashed against the wall hard as more white fluffy snow covered the ground. My eyes suddenly became hazy as my mind began to fade. I saw Satanyuu come through the ever increasing white snow with his sword held high.
Normally, I would protect myself and block him. But, my body seemed to be getting weary as my arm began to lift into the air. I, somehow, held it across my chest in some effort to defend this weary body.
As I did this, sadly, Satanyuu slashed at my block. When his sword collided with mine, I heard a lock and key mechanism activate. I regained consciousness as I realized the sound was coming from the hilt of my sword. It had opened up, and created a small diamond shaped hole in the center.
"What is this?" Satanyuu asked as he stood where he was. The air was as still as my breath as two seconds later, a bright green light shot out from the diamond shaped hole. It obliterated Satanyuu and as I saw his body disintegrate, I noticed he had dropped his blade and forced screams poured out from him as this was happening. They reverberated off the air and into my ears.
I still remember that day...perfectly, matter of fact. That was the saddest point of my life as I saw the sword of my master lie on the ground in front of me. He was the only one I had left and one of the only people who I cared about...And he dared to care for me back.
'He's dead...and...' I hesitated as I thought to myself. '....I have created the murder...How could a sword,' I held it up to my face. 'Kill the very man who taught me and raised me from the very start of my life?'
My mind became blank as I became tense. I had to find a reason why I killed him. But, just as I thought of what had happened, my Nodachi glowed the exact same green light, it was glowing minutes before.
As I looked at the hilt again, a green gem had appeared within the diamond shaped hole that had formed within the hilt.
"No..." I was stunned at what I had just achieved. My heart raced as I dropped my Nodachi. "No...How can this be?! DAMN!!!" I shouted as I dropped to my knees.
I had achieved the very gem that Satanyuu told me to stay away from. The Blitz Gem...I now hold the infinite power of Lightning, rainstorms, and wind within the hilt of my sword.

Prologue
There is something about a boy's life that seems...unpredictable at times. Or at least that's what the interpretation of my life is like. You ask yourself, why? Well, this must be because of my innate ability to sense things before they came. The Mediators said that I had the ability from when I was a child. I'm sure you can figure out what a Mediator is.... Well, let me refrain from those spoilers at the moment. First, let me tell you what happened on the day I awoke in my room around twelve o'clock in the afternoon. I believe it was a Saturday or maybe even a Sunday. I didn't really know. Like all other teenagers around the age of sixteen, I didn't have much of a handle on time, yet. Oh, I am sorry. Did I forget to give you my name?
My name, if you must know, is Oreidan Umegairu. I am better known as the called, "Dragon Star". For whatever reason, I didn't realize at the time. My guess was that the concept of time anymore, is nothing more than a millisecond. Whatever you wanted that seemed special, is gone two days later as something equally as special comes your way.
Just like today, because, I was in a bed that was excruciatingly bright as the sun reflected off of it. I rubbed my eyes and I figured I was at Satanyuu's house; my trainer and father figure.
The reason I was here, was because he had adopted me and taught me martial arts and Bushido by the time I was fourteen. And he had adopted me when I was six years old.
Satanyuu was a retired Samurai but he apparently took students to train under him. But, he gave up on all of them. He did not have enough to go full throttle with the students because they all showed little to no ambition to learn.
The only person he never gave up on, was me. I had no idea why but, he always saw some type of spark in my eyes.
So, I decided to just agree as not to cause a confrontation. Several times, on the same hour, week, minute, second, or month, he has defeated in sparring matches.
Today, of all days, had to be the day when my final training session had to begin. In his old age; and this is because he grew twice as fast as normal humans, his bones were beginning to grow older and wearier. So, he had to pass the torch of his teachings onto someone. He always told me I had the potential to become stronger than him. This is only because I was an orphan since birth. And were those years frustrating.
I was teased for having different kind of hair and eyes than everyone else. From the moment I was born, I was told I had crimson eyes and black hair with short, but swift white streaks coming off of it. And my eyes were crimson, yes, but it was a mixture. The pupil was purple and the outer area was red. I still had all those features today but others think twice before when making fun of me. But, those kids in the orphanage would tease, lie, steal, and they even tried to kill me on more than one occasion!
They stopped around my age of six, because that's when I was adopted by Satanyuu. As I drove away, I laughed at their discontent.
When I was about eleven years old, I went back to the orphanage with Satanyuu. When we got there, we were completely stunned at the what we saw before us. The orphanage, my first home, had been burnt to the ground. We later figured out that it was done three days after I left. A person named, "The Slayer" had ended all those children's lives.
I was ashamed of myself for letting them die but...I am more ashamed of myself for never patching things up with the kids who used to tease me. Don't misconstrue me, I hated them, excruciatingly so but...it would have been better to make up for lost time.
However, there was only girl there that never teased me or killed me so I was ashamed of that most of all...
So, as to somehow make myself believe to avenge the children of the orphanage, I trained for the next five years with Satanyuu as hard as I could. But will be enough to defeat my master and complete my training in Bushido?
