things are taken for granted too often these days. simple phrases which people use on a day to day basis seem to have lost their meaning.
an obvious suggestion would be i love you. how many people say it and actually mean it these days? do people actually know what it means? granted, it means different things to different people, but it is still thrown around.
i mean, it isn't just this phrase that got me thinking, there is so much that we probably don't comprehend, but say anyway - probably because we have heard other people use it, in the same context or something to that suit.

sorry about my little... rant - if you will, i just felt i needed to express it.
