Ok. I like this place. It's quite, unlike the hectic buzzing of Livejournal. I love that place, but I needed somewhere just a bit more personal.

So for my first post I decided to go with my prediction and post a book recommendation. I just finished "the perks of being a wallflower" by stephen chbosky. And all I can say is "brilliant". It's beautiful. It's nastalgic. It's...infinite.

I'm not sure how to explain it other than it's a series of letters from a teenager named Charlie. He tells his story of growing up to someone who you never really find out who it is.

So here's the summary...
"
standing on the fringes of life...

offers a unique perspective. But there comes a time to see what it looks like from the dance floor.

This haunting novel about the dilemma of passivity vs. passion marks the stunning debut of a provacative new voice in contemporary fiction: The Perks of Being A Wallflower.

This is the story of what it's like to grow up in high school. More intimate that a diary. Charlie's letters are singular and unique, hilarious and devastaing. We may not know where he lives. We may not know to whom he is writing. All we know is the world he shares. Caught between tyring to live his live and trying to run from it puts him on a strange course through uncharted territory. The world of first dates and mixed tapes, family dramas and new friends. The world of sex, drugs, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show, when all one requires is that perfect song on that perfect drive to feel infinite.

Through Charlie, Stephen Chbosky has created a deeply affecting coming-of-age story, a powerful novel that will spirit you back to those wild and poignant roller coaster days know as growing up."

That's the full official summary. Even if you haven't been a teenager in a long time...well, it's a classic in that everyone who's ever been Charlie's age (16) can relate. Honestly, I think it's my life in the form of literature, except for the part where I'm a boy. That would just be akward.

Anyway, I don't care who you are a least read the first couple of letters. They're not that long. I did and I didn't put it down until I finished it.

well, i've had my say for now.

Simpre,
Yurimi
