The O Monster is going to get me - Subscribe
|
|
Oh gosh, I can see a big O monster coming towards me now...it's not too far away, and with my slow running speed, it's going to catch up with me pretty soon, really soon...and if it does, I will be doomed... At the beginning of the year, I've went hiking with 230 over friends in the woods. We have all been warned about a scary monster who looks like an "O" and who will eat people who are slow. When I was in the woods, I saw no sign of the O monster. Thus, I thought that the legend is false and there is no such monster in reality. However, some of my friends have already started to run off, just after they first heard about the O monster. "There's no monster, what are they scared of?" I thought. So, day after day, weeks after weeks, I hiked my way through the woods slowly, examining any unusual fauna and flora on my way and enjoying the lush greenery around me. Then, during the fifth month, we were reminded that we have to get out of the woods by October, if not the O monster will get us. Frightened by the thought of not being able to get out of the woods forever, we all ran, but not for long. We stopped after we felt that we have ran quite a distance, and slept for a month. Then we were woken up by a noisy "crunch" sound. We looked in the direction of the noise, and we gasped at what we saw. It is the O monster! Though it was a few kilometers away from us, it looked as tall as a mature 25-year-old tropical rainforest tree! We all stood rooted to the ground in fear for a few moment. Then, some of us woke up from our fear and started running. When we were running, we looked back a few times and I saw that there were still people who have not waken up from their fear; or, perhaps, they could not. We ran, but nobody ever ran back to save the other friends who were going to be eaten up by the O monster. We have been running for days, but still, we could see the outline of the O monster far, far away. We cursed and we swore. We hated ourselves for not believing the tale from the beginning. We hated ourselves for only running for our lives after we have seen the O monster for ourselves. "Why?", we once screamed while running. "Why are we so STUPID?" ![]() *The O Monster is a metaphor for the "O" level examinations.*

Yes, I'm back again. Well, it's too long...so long that I forgot how long was my "holiday" from this blog. Well, but actually, I'm back to announce publicly with a bad news. MY BLOG HAS BEEN SHIFTED! (Oops, how come I saw it as "SHITTED"? O.O) IT HAS BEEN SHIFTED!! My new blog is hosted at Wordpress.com and its URL is http://angelx2008.wordpress.com. I'm not sure of what will become of this blog. I really don't know...maybe some day, I might abandon my Wordpress blog and come back to this Aeonity Blog... Who knows? So, in the meantime, I will still continue to let this blog be on the web. Frankly, I miss this blog a lot. I'm feeling sort-of guilty when I left this blog alone and opened another one. Sad. Nevermind. Perhaps I'll just alternate between the two blogs? Well, PERHAPS. As, for now, I (one heartless creature) will leave this blog and go for another long, long break till I'm getting sick.

I just heard this meaningful story from 93.3FM last night. The story goes like this... ****************** A rich man's car was leaking patrol while he was driving. It was leaking so fast that the rich man, dressed neatly and nicely, had to come out of the car and take a look at what was causing the patrol to leak. Then he knew the cause: The nail was loose. (Okay, I don't really know about cars, but that's basically the starting of the story) The rich man wanted to repair it as soon as possible, but he did not know how, so he asked the passers-by if anyone could help him. No one moved at all. Then the rich man took out a hundred dollar note and said that if anyone was willing to help him repair his car, he was willing to pay that guy that amount of money. Then, a teenage boy wanted to step out but was stopped by his friend who told him, "Friend, you should not help him just because you can get money in return!" Then, after a short while, a little boy walked towards the rich man and helped him repaired the car in a few minutes. The man was about to hand the little boy the one hundred dollar note that he had promised earlier when a woman from the crowd said, "You really wanted to give that little boy a hundred dollars?" The rich man thought that the woman was quite reasonable, and took out just five dollar and gave it to the little boy. However, the boy refused it by shooking his head. The rich man added another five dollar but the little boy still shook his head. The rich man got angry and said, "Do you want it or not? If you still don't want it, you can't even get a five dollars from me!" The little boy shook his head again and said, "You're mistaken, Sir. My teacher told us that when we helped others, we ourselves do not expect any repays." The people in the crowd were puzzled. The rich man finally asked, "Then why are you still standing here?" The little boy answered, "I'm waiting for you to thank me." *******END OF STORY******** It's meaningful, isn't it? It taught us that money cannot be used to solve all problems and we should not crave for repays when we helped others, and most importantly, we should not forget our basic courtesy and we must remember to thank the people who had helped us in our life.

Finally, after almost 3 months or so, I'M BACK! To tell you the truth, acually I really did nothing much...I created those blogs but deleted them after a few weeks as I found that it's TOO dangerous... so I downloaded a free software called "YWriter 2" and wrote my story with it. I'm still composing midis and I'm happy to say that those completed ones had been put up on our school's Elearn site's blog...Hahax, I'm so cunning... LOLx...went to this site: http://www.songsiwrite.com and saw some works in mp3 and video format and lyrics there...quite envious of them...because I...haix (sigh).... can only compose midis....and even my midis do not sound real nice right now...I guess I still have a lot to learn... So long no see...I guess my blog is getting real dusty...yesterday, my CCA lasted for almost SIX hours! Practice for 3 hours, lunch for 1 hour and CIP for 2 hours. I was so tired that haha...I haven't revise my E.Geog one bit yet. (I guess many of my classmates haven't revise yet too...) Kinda...haix...I don't know, lost my interest in everything? I don't know...but the SA2 are coming...and Biology paper is one of the earliest one...OMG. It's such a heavy topic lohx...why don't push it to the end...but there's AMaths papers...WHAT THE HECK. Nevermind...I must...hang on till the end...because the December Holidays are following up after the exams....I just hope that this time it won't be as nasty as last year when I got scolded by my CCA teacher on my birthday just because I can't go to the emd-of-year camp ...I'm really hoping that I won't get scolded without any absolute resaon this year end. I WANT TO ENJOY MY HOLIDAYS!

Ok, I'm not blaffing you all (because I'm not a bluffing machine). I'm going to take a break (which I can't tell how long) from this blog. I'm going work on my other 2 blogs; they are the Monster And Clown Blog and the Eternal Lovers Blog. They are not ordinary blogs...they are actually blogs of my story. That means "monster and clown blog" contains the full story "Monster And Clown" written by me, and "eternal lovers" contains the full story of "Eternal Lovers" written by me too. One of my hobbies is writing. Ha..I know I write badly in school, that's why I must practice writtiing...and I chose to do it on the net. The Blog is public, so I had to be beware of all my grammar, spelling, sentence structure, subject-verb agreement etc. mistakes, and correct them. A good practice for me. The bad thing is that I had to type, which means I don't have the opportunity to have a manual original script. AHX...nevermind! Heck care! Hahax... So, I may be abandoning this blog for a while. Nevertheless, when I'm bored, and have an interesting topic to share, I'll definitely write it here, on Aeonity Blog. So, goodbye! |

Being Responsible Jun 4th, 2007 2:29:09 am - Subscribe

Ha...I know I had to be responsible when I blog. So that's why I'm going to tell all of you now that the midi that you hear now is NOT my work. (Hah...my standard is not that high yet) It's from a blogskin by wanyun, which can be found on Blogskins site. View the blogskin here. Ha, so I don't have any mess with copyright laws now. Oh, let me tell you about someone funny. Perhaps some of you are like that. I don't know. Well, the person...ok, claims that he has contributed to the household by cleaning the toilet, when he had only cleaned the toilet ONCE! Well, it's a JOKE. He thinks that his ONE TIME contribution represents A MILLION contributions. Funny, right? Okay, it's a COLD laugh. But it's enough to let us have a simple moral of the story: BEING RESPONSIBLE IS NOT A ONE TIME ONLY JOB Am I right or am I not?

Vegetarian VS Omnivores Jun 4th, 2007 12:02:43 am - Subscribe
|
This is just one funny scenerio that I thought of a few days ago: ![]() Vegetarians: Ok, those who eat meat are CRUEL and species of animals are extinct nowadays because of the overhunting and over-eating of those animals!! ![]() Omnivores: Vegetarians are the MOST CRUEL one. Do you know why? Vegetarians: Why? ![]() Omnivores: Because you Vegetarians eat veggies! And the most important thing on Earth are not animals, it is air! Oxygen! And where does oxygen comes from? Vegetarians: From green plants that photosynthesize,of course! Omnivores: Ha! So if everyone on Earth were vegetarians, then green plants are in danger. If all green plants were eaten (Well, the trees are in danger due to deforestation, which is already a big problem), then there'll be NOT MUCH oxygen left in the Earth's atmosphere! Then. doesn't it make vegetarians worse than omnivores? Vegetarians will be killing off the entire world's population just by eating more and more vegetables! ----------End of Scene------------- So, that's why I decided to make this scenerio of mine on the web for all to decide: Who is actually more cruel and why? Or are both of them equally cruel? Actually I feel that both are equally cruel in their own ways. Omnivores who can eat meat are really letting some species of animals to be extinct or to be endangered. For example, the DoDo bird. It became extinct because hunters overhunted it for food. Whereas, being vegetarians can minimise the harm made to the animal kingdom, as we do not harm the animals directly, that is killing it directly when it's still alive. However, vegetarians could actually be competing for food with animals that are herbivores. As majority wins, the animals (esp. wild animals) that only feed on plants may die of hunger. Omnivores are said to be cruel because the way they kill the animals is cruel. Several animals locked up in a very small area. They are not being fed with food or water. Many die of hunger and thirst en route to slaughter. So, vegetarians feel that at least they do not let the animals feel the pain of being killed, and thus not that cruel. Ok, I'm a vegetarian myself. I feel that actually being a vegetarian has it cons too. For exmaple, many vitamins cannot be obtained from just vegetables. Luckily, I'm not a strict vegetarians, so at least I can get the 9 proteins from eggs, and nuts. One of its pros is that...well, veggies contained not much fats (I mean non-saturated, which is healthier than saturated ones found in meat), and contain enough vitamins, so it's actually a very healthy diet. Ha...I feel like I'm writing an argumentative essay. OH NO...how can my blog become an essay. No~!Hahax... okok, I shall stop my own opinons on this topic here now. Please do give your own comments on this topic too. I'll appreciate it. Please do ignore all my spelling mistakes, though. (Haha )

Hello every Aeonity Blog users! This is NOT the first time I'm blogging online. My previous blog at Blogspot was abandoned. I hope that I can blog every so often from now onwards but sad to say, there are just SO MANY things to do in life. I had stacks of homework to do everyday, and it's enough to kill me off. Well...let me just introduce myself. Actually, this blog is not meant for MY personal use at first. I venture out to search for various blog hosters just to see if a prepared HTML code (for blogskin) can be used on other sites. Well, of course, I failed to find a suitable site (Yeah, even Aeonity can't accept the HTML. It seems like the HTML have some problems with it). So, I gave up finally right now. I decided to turn it into MY own PERSONAL blog. So ta-ta, Starrylife (That's me, my new nick) is born on her blog. I'm a student studying in a secondary school (right now) in SINGAPORE. I led a hectic life...or maybe quite so. My world just revoloved around computer, television, friends, teachers and homework. Should I say some more for right now? Will readers feel too bored looking at such a long piece of entry? I don't quite know. Anyway, let me contiune. I like to draw comics. Currently, my not-official comic that I'm working on is "Memories" (Ok, it's NOT inspired by the song "Memory" from the musical CATS). So far...haha...the comic is already 2 years old, but it's still on its 1st book, chapter 4. It's not that I drew very slowly, it's just that I have not enough time to spare on my comics! As I said earlier, I led a hectic life. Secondly, I like to compose MIDIs. I used the free software Anvil Studio, and I found it very user friendly and useful. i've really regretted not to backup my files earlier this year, because all my works are lost when my elder brother changed our Windows XP to Windows Vista Beta. Haix...SAD Okok, I guess I'll stop here for my introduction. Bye-byex! |
