George is coming to town by zukunft
George is coming for a official visit to Germany and the security preparations are kind of ... sick and paranoid?

- university clinic is closed for normal patients during the visit (except ER) - a special floor has been reserved for George (if something should happen to him)

- major highways closed a few hours

- schools closed because of disrupted transpartion possibilities

- some companies will close for a day because the employees cant get to work

- mailboxes, flower pots(!), garbage cans were removed and manhole covers were welded shut

- city center residents are forbidden to go out onto their balconies during the visit and others will only be allowed running around after a security check

- snipers everywhere

- shipping on the rhine totally halted

My opinion:

Hey, i got tickets for WIZO tonight. WIZO is (was) one of the greatest punk bands in germans history ever and tonights show will be one of their last before they finally quit.

They have rocked for 18 years now but the members age average is only about 33 years! wink.gif - however they felt its time for a change....

The last time i saw them was 1996, because they only played a few shows (mainly in UK, USA, Japan) the last few years and only released some songs till 2004 when finally the new (and last) record arrived.

So ... i am very excited ;-).

Back from WIZO by zukunft

Well, WIZO last night was fucking great, they played about 30-something songs and with a sold-out hall the mood was awesome.

Unfortunately I got early injured after 6 or 7 songs when some big guy "had" to punch people from behind. He hit me in the stomach and in the rips. sad.gif

I needed to (re)find my breath and it still hurts today...i think I have some bruises between the rips and the abdomen.

Thats a point I will never understand on this planet...everyone wants to have a good time (on this show, on this earth....) but there are always some idiots that try to ruin it, whatever you do.

But life goes on and in a few days I will recover (is this correct English?).

Btw, if you are interested in this German band why dont you go over to Amazon.Com and check out some samples for example here

Or check out your favourite p2p application! WIZO is fine with downloading their records! (see how cool this band is! wink.gif)
